Starting at the University Square, 22 enthusiastic participants embarked on an adventure that seamlessly combined fun, excitement, and team spirit. The participants were divided into four teams, ready to uncover the hidden treasures of this charming city.
Equipped with tablets, the teams set off on a three-hour exploration through the heart of Heidelberg. Known for its historic old town and impressive landmarks like the Heidelberg Castle and the Old Bridge, the city served as an inspiring backdrop for this team building experience in Heidelberg. The teams navigated through the city, solved tricky puzzles, and tackled creative team tasks to earn points.
The weather cooperated beautifully that day, creating a pleasant atmosphere that fueled the participants' spirit of discovery. The teams were on their own throughout the tour, but I, as their CityHunters team guide, was available by phone for any questions or issues. This independence not only fostered team spirit but also encouraged competition among the teams.
After three thrilling hours, all teams reconvened at the University Square for the eagerly anticipated awards ceremony. Team '62' triumphed with an impressive 362 points, securing first place. They were closely followed by Team 'OVMJ' with 348 points, and 'The 4 Party Mice', who claimed third place with 271 points. The joy and pride in their achievements were palpable, providing a fitting conclusion to the event.
This Geocaching in Heidelberg was more than just a game – it was an opportunity to discover the city from a new perspective and grow as a team.
