Heidelberg, with its rich history and charming flair, offers the perfect backdrop for an unforgettable Geocaching experience. On March 17, 2026, I had the pleasure of leading a Geocaching tour as a CityHunters team guide for seven enthusiastic participants from Boehringer Ingelheim Pharma GmbH & Co.KG. Our adventure kicked off at the bustling Adenauerplatz, where the participants were divided into two teams and set off with great anticipation.
The teams immersed themselves in the fascinating world of Geocaching, exploring Heidelberg in a whole new way. Equipped with a tablet and the CityHunters app, their journey took them past impressive landmarks like the majestic Church of the Holy Spirit and the historic Old Bridge. The participants were thrilled to see the city from a new perspective while also enhancing their team skills.
During the two-hour tour through the picturesque streets of Heidelberg, the teams were on their own, competing to solve tricky puzzles and exciting team tasks to earn the most points. The competition was intense, but the fun and team building experience in Heidelberg always remained at the forefront. Each participant contributed their individual strengths, making the experience even more enriching.
After two exciting hours, the teams reconvened at Adenauerplatz for the awards ceremony. With a proud score of 165 points, Team 'Team Number One' emerged as the winner, while Team 'Stefana' took second place with 15 points. The good mood and team spirit were palpable, and it was clear that this Geocaching adventure in Heidelberg was not just a competition, but a valuable experience for everyone involved.
The beautiful weather contributed to the positive atmosphere, making the team building experience in Heidelberg a complete success. This Geocaching tour not only offered participants the chance to discover hidden treasures but also the opportunity to get to know each other better and grow closer as a team.
