Team Building Event Lilly Deutschland GmbH
Our event concept combines modern technology with the city's history and playful competition – the perfect foundation for a team building experience in Heidelberg.
As a CityHunters team guide I had the pleasure of leading an iPad Tour for 16 employees of Lilly Deutschland GmbH at the Kornmarkt in Heidelberg on February 11, 2026 at 6:30 pm. After a warm welcome, everyone received a brief introduction to the CityHunters app and the iPads. The group was split into three teams, and the high-tech Scavenger Hunt through the Old Town began.
During the tour the teams operated independently and enjoyed a friendly competition for the highest score. At various stations they faced tricky puzzles and creative team tasks that required observation, communication and collaboration. Participants had the chance not only to rediscover well-known sights such as Heidelberg Castle, the Old Bridge and the Church of the Holy Spirit, but also to play to their own strengths within the team. The CityHunters app displayed the scores in real time, giving an extra motivational boost.
I was reachable by phone throughout the tour in case any team needed assistance – overall everything ran smoothly. The weather was pleasant, so the mood stayed light and relaxed. Many took the opportunity to hold short strategic discussions, while others preferred to rush on to the next challenges. It is precisely this combination of pace, strategy and fun that makes our offering a successful team building event.
After about an hour and a half all groups met back at the Kornmarkt for the joint awards ceremony. We were delighted to celebrate the winning team Champions with 270 points. In second place was One Winning Team with 240 points, and in third place Maulwurf with 150 points. We had prepared medals for the winners, which were presented to applause at the awards ceremony.
This iPad Tour was a complete success as a team building experience in Heidelberg: playful, varied and connecting. Anyone who wants to experience the city anew and at the same time strengthen team spirit will find our tour to be an exciting and lasting form of team building experience.
