Team Building Event Boehringer Ingelheim GmbH
As a CityHunters team guide I led a great Geocaching event on September 23, 2025 for 101 employees of Boehringer Ingelheim GmbH in Heidelberg. We met punctually at 2:00 PM at Karlsplatz, where I welcomed everyone and briefly explained the schedule. The mood was eager and full of anticipation, the perfect start for a real team building experience in Heidelberg.
After the briefing the 16 teams set off and explored the city on their own. Using a tablet and an app the groups made their way to exciting stops, solved puzzles and tackled creative team tasks. Along the route many of Heidelberg's most beautiful sights came into view: Heidelberg Castle, the Old Bridge and the Church of the Holy Spirit provided picturesque backdrops and led to numerous aha moments.
The teams competed for the highest score. Points were awarded for correctly solved puzzles, clever solutions to team tasks and fast navigation around the city center. I remained available by phone throughout the tour in case any questions or technical issues came up, so all groups could carry on worry-free and fully enjoy the experience.
The weather was quite pleasant and fit the scene perfectly: mild and agreeable, ideal for an active city exploration. This relaxed atmosphere added a lot to the fun and helped shape a positive shared experience. Small factors like these sustainably support the goal of team building experience in Heidelberg.
After exactly three hours all teams met again at Karlsplatz for the award ceremony. The tension was high and the results were close: the winner was Team 9 with 375 points. In second place came Team 5 with 360 points, closely followed by Team 3 also with 360 points. Applause, bright smiles and many satisfied conversations rounded off the afternoon.
Geocaching in Heidelberg combines adventure, competition and the shared experience of unique places. Whether the university library, the Ruprecht-Karls University or the many hidden corners of the old town, these experiences strengthen the sense of togetherness. This event showed once again that team building experience in Heidelberg is fun, promotes collaboration and leaves a lasting impression.
I am already looking forward to more events and to inspiring even more teams to discover this beautiful city.
