Team Building Event BUNG Ingenieure AG
A bright blue sky and warm sunshine accompanied our investigation – perfect weather for an active team building experience in Heidelberg.
As a CityHunters team guide, I had the pleasure of welcoming the BUNG Ingenieure AG group at University Square on July 11, 2025 at 2:00 pm. Twelve participants were split into three teams, given a brief introduction to the iPads and the CityHunters app, and then the iPad Murder Mystery Tour was underway. The digital Scavenger Hunt combined technology and urban discovery, turning team building in Heidelberg into a lively experience.
The route led the teams past well-known sights such as Heidelberg Castle, the Church of the Holy Spirit, and the Old Bridge. At various stations they faced crime-solving puzzles and creative team challenges that had to be solved together. Points were awarded for correct answers and good teamwork, quickly sparking a friendly competition in which the groups were largely on their own. I remained available by phone throughout in case of technical questions or requests for clarification.
The mix of suspense, city exploration, and cooperation visibly boosted communication and team cohesion: colleagues took on tasks, solved puzzles together, and celebrated each success. That kind of active collaboration in an inspiring setting is exactly what makes an effective team building experience in Heidelberg.
After about 2.5 hours we met back at University Square for the awards ceremony. With great applause the team Nick Knatterton took first place with 285 points and received well-deserved medals. Second place went to Racing-Team with 255 points, followed by King Kong with 210 points. The atmosphere was upbeat and positive – a lovely finale for everyone involved.
As a guide, it was rewarding to see Heidelberg’s historic alleys and squares — from Ruprecht-Karls University to the University Library — become the setting for shared experiences. For groups wanting to combine teamwork, fun, and motivation, the iPad Murder Mystery Tour is an ideal team building experience in Heidelberg.
