Team Building Event E.ON Grid Solutions GmbH
Our iPad Murder Mystery Tour turns colleagues into detectives and combines excitement with a targeted team building experience in Heidelberg.
On April 2, 2025 at 3:00 PM I had the pleasure of welcoming the E.ON Grid Solutions GmbH group at Adenauerplatz as their team guide. After a brief introduction each team received an iPad with the CityHunters app, a short instruction on how to use it and the six teams were off. The task was to jointly analyze clues, interview witnesses and solve tricky puzzles — all digitally guided and routed through the historic city center.
The tour led the teams past some of the city's most beautiful spots: from the impressive Heidelberg Castle over the Old Bridge to the Church of the Holy Spirit — a perfect backdrop for an intense, interactive experience. The app displayed locations and clues, and teams had to work strategically together to collect points. During the roughly two-and-a-half-hour event the groups were on their own and competed in good spirits for the highest score. I remained reachable by phone throughout to assist with questions or technical problems.
The weather cooperated and the mood was fantastic: sunny, motivated and full of energy. That is exactly how good team building in Heidelberg should be — hands-on, energizing and a lot of fun. The mix of puzzles, observation and team challenges brought out a variety of strengths and noticeably improved collaboration.
After the game all teams regrouped at Adenauerplatz for the awards ceremony. First place went to Team Club Lacoste with 345 points — congratulations. Following them were Die 6 Fragezeichen in second place with 300 points and Revue Girls in third, also with 300 points. The joy at the presentation was palpable and the conversations about memorable moments and clever solutions made for a great finish to the event.
