Marseille – the perfect backdrop for team adventures
Marseille, one of France’s oldest cities, offers the perfect setting for a memorable team building experience. Its rich history and distinctive atmosphere turn every corner into a new clue. Start the route at Marseille Cathedral and wander through winding streets and lively squares that invite curiosity. The Old Port of Marseille provides salty air and a sense of place, while sights like Porte d'Aix and the Opéra de Marseille add dramatic flourishes to the cityscape. Tradition and modern life meet here, creating an inspiring stage for any team building event.
On the trail of history
During the CityHunters treasure hunt, teams will encounter several of Marseille’s most notable landmarks. Fort Saint-Jean and the adjacent Museum of European and Mediterranean Civilisations offer striking views across the sea and a chance to feel the strategic heartbeat of the city. The Marseille History Museum brings local stories to life, and Palais du Pharo provides sweeping panoramas over the Old Port — an ideal spot for a short breather and some photo-worthy moments. Along the way, a visit to Église Saint-Ferréol les Augustins or a quick glance at Marseille City Hall will reveal layers of history woven into the urban fabric.
An adventure full of puzzles and teamwork
The CityHunters treasure hunt is far more than a leisurely stroll. Armed with the CityHunters app and smartphones, teams become modern explorers on a mission: uncover concealed clues, solve clever puzzles and be the first to claim the mysterious treasure. Every step rewards collaboration, creativity and clear communication. This team building experience in Marseille is designed to highlight individual strengths while encouraging collective problem-solving in the most engaging way.
Culinary treats and local anecdotes
Marseille’s appeal goes beyond its monuments; its cuisine and traditions are part of the experience. During the treasure hunt there’s ample opportunity to sample local flavors, including the famous bouillabaisse, a traditional fish stew worth every spoonful. Culinary pauses offer not only refreshment but cultural insight. It’s also worth noting that Marseille is renowned for its soap traditions — the famous Savon de Marseille has been produced here for centuries, a fragrant reminder of the city’s long-standing craftsmanship.
One of the greatest advantages of the CityHunters treasure hunt is its adaptability. The tour can start whenever suits the group and proceed at a comfortable pace, making it easy to slot into any schedule from a standalone activity to part of a larger company outing. Whether teams set off from Marseille Cathedral, the Old Port of Marseille, Palais du Pharo or another central starting point, the treasure hunt molds itself to the group’s needs and ensures an enjoyable experience for everyone.
