Straubing, the charming city on the Danube, provided the perfect backdrop for an exciting Geocaching adventure with the Attenkofer Media Group. On October 17, 2026, 20 enthusiastic participants gathered in front of the Straubinger Tagblatt to dive into the fascinating world of Geocaching. The participants were divided into five groups and set off on their tour through the city, full of anticipation and a spirit of discovery.
During the Geocaching in Straubing, participants experienced the city from an entirely new perspective. Equipped with tablets and the CityHunters app, the teams embarked on a quest to find hidden treasures and solve tricky puzzles. The route took them to some of Straubing's most impressive landmarks, including the majestic city tower and the historic Basilica of St. Jacob. The ducal castle also impressed with its history and provided a perfect backdrop for the team tasks.
The team spirit was put to the test during this team building experience in Straubing. Each team member contributed their individual strengths to overcome the challenges together. Whether it was about finding creative solutions or discovering hidden clues, collaboration was key. The teams were on their own throughout the tour but could receive phone support from their CityHunters team guide if needed.
After three exciting hours, all teams reconvened at the starting point for the awards ceremony. The moment of truth had arrived: With 405 points, Team 'Spearhead' secured the victory, closely followed by 'The Bold 3' and 'The Youngsters,' both shining with a proud 390 points. The joy and pride were evident on the faces of all participants.
