Geocaching in Garmisch-Partenkirchen: An event that uniquely combines team spirit, adventure, and fun. On October 16, 2026, I had the pleasure of guiding nine motivated employees from Raiffeisenbank München-Süd eG through the picturesque town of Garmisch-Partenkirchen. The meeting point for our adventure was the charming Hotel Garmischer Hof on Chamonix Street, where participants arrived with anticipation and excitement.
After a brief introduction and dividing into two teams – 'Sales Power' and 'Market Operations' – the exciting team building experience in Garmisch-Partenkirchen began. Equipped with a tablet and the CityHunters app, the teams set out to discover the city from a whole new perspective. The sunny weather contributed to the positive atmosphere as the teams roamed the streets, solving puzzles and collecting points.
The tour led participants to some of the city's most beautiful sights. The Old Parish Church of St. Martin and the historic Old Pharmacy were just a few of the highlights to be discovered. At each station, exciting tasks awaited, which not only strengthened team spirit but also challenged the participants' creativity and ingenuity.
Throughout the tour, the teams were in friendly competition with each other, with the team guide available by phone for any questions or issues. After an hour and a half of discoveries and challenges, all participants gathered back at Hotel Garmischer Hof for the awards ceremony. With a narrow lead, Team 'Sales Power' secured the victory with 225 points, closely followed by Team 'Market Operations' with 210 points.
This team building event in Garmisch-Partenkirchen was more than just a competition; it was an opportunity to experience the city interactively and grow together as a team. Participants left the event with smiles and many new memories of an unforgettable day in the enchanting surroundings of Garmisch-Partenkirchen.
