On September 25, 2026, we had the perfect weather for an exciting Murder Mystery Geocaching event in Linz. Under the bright sun, the eleven enthusiastic participants from SBS Software GmbH gathered at the main square, ready to showcase their detective skills.
After a warm welcome and a brief introduction, the participants were divided into two teams: Team 'Pzz' and 'Team hell'. Equipped with a tablet and a special app that guided them through the city, the teams embarked on their adventure. Their goal: to solve as many puzzles and team tasks as possible to make Linz safe again while strengthening their team spirit.
The route led the teams past some of Linz's most famous landmarks. The impressive Mariä-Empfängnis-Dom and the historic Linz Castle not only provided a stunning backdrop but also served as exciting locations for the tricky murder mysteries. The Ars Electronica Center, a symbol of innovation and technology, also became part of the thrilling scavenger hunt.
Throughout the tour, the teams were on their own and had to work closely together to decipher the puzzles and collect clues. As their team guide, I was always available by phone for any questions or issues, but the participants handled the challenges brilliantly.
After three intense hours full of excitement and fun, the teams met again at the main square for the joint award ceremony. With 360 points, Team 'Pzz' secured the victory, closely followed by 'Team hell' with 270 points. Both teams demonstrated excellent collaboration and proved that this team building experience in Linz not only strengthened their cohesion but also brought a lot of joy.
The Murder Mystery Geocaching in Linz was an unforgettable experience that the participants will surely remember for a long time. This unique blend of adventure and teamwork provided a perfect opportunity to discover Linz from a new perspective and to utilize the individual strengths of each team member.
