Team Building Event wpd windmanager GmbH & Co. KG
Wernigerode, known as the colorful town in the Harz region, provides a perfect backdrop for unforgettable team building events. On September 23, 2026, I had the pleasure of guiding an exciting Geocaching adventure for 15 enthusiastic employees from wpd windmanager GmbH & Co. KG as a CityHunters team guide. We kicked off the day at the picturesque marketplace.
After a brief introduction and dividing into three teams – the 'Brocken Witches', 'Columbus', and 'Office Witches' – the Geocaching adventure in Wernigerode began. Equipped with tablets and the CityHunters app, the teams set out to discover the hidden treasures of the town. The tour took them to impressive landmarks like the majestic Wernigerode Castle, the historic St. John's Church, and the fascinating Aviation Museum. Each stop presented new puzzles and challenges that required not only brainpower but also team spirit.
Throughout the tour, the teams were on their own but could always count on my support via phone. It was impressive to see how the participants collaborated, found creative solutions, and motivated each other. The weather was perfect, adding to the cheerful atmosphere as the teams roamed through the charming streets of Wernigerode.
After three exciting hours, all teams reconvened at the marketplace for the eagerly awaited award ceremony. With an impressive 300 points, the 'Brocken Witches' secured first place, closely followed by Team 'Columbus', also with 300 points. The 'Office Witches' took third place with a respectable 270 points. The joy and pride over the results were evident among all participants.
This Geocaching experience in Wernigerode was not only fun but also strengthened team cohesion. Such experiences are what bring a team together and create unforgettable memories. Wernigerode has once again proven to be the ideal location for team building events where adventure, culture, and team spirit come together in a unique way.
