On September 18, 2026, we had the perfect weather for an exciting Geocaching event in Saarlouis. The sun shone brightly over the city, providing the ideal backdrop for our team building adventure with THS Treuhand Saar Steuerberatungsgesellschaft mbH. At 2:00 PM, 44 enthusiastic participants gathered at the Marienbrunnen, ready to discover the city in a whole new way.
After a warm welcome and a brief introduction to the rules of Geocaching, the participants were divided into eight teams. Equipped with tablets and the CityHunters app, the teams set off to find the hidden treasures of Saarlouis. The route took them past impressive landmarks like the Deutsches Tor and Haus Ludwig, which not only amazed visually but also offered exciting puzzles and challenges.
Throughout the tour, the teams were on their own, competing for the most points. They were challenged by solving puzzles and completing team tasks. But no worries, I was available as a team guide via phone to provide assistance if needed. This blend of adventure, fun, and teamwork made Geocaching in Saarlouis an unforgettable experience.
After two hours of intense puzzling and searching, all teams gathered again at the Marienbrunnen for the eagerly awaited awards ceremony. Team 'Lion' came out on top with an impressive 396 points, followed by the 'Twixies' with 365 points and the 'Hanutas' with 337 points. The joy and pride of the winners were palpable, rounding off this successful day.
Our Geocaching event in Saarlouis not only provided a lot of fun but also strengthened the participants' team spirit. The combination of cultural highlights, such as the Evangelical Church, and tricky tasks offered a perfect opportunity to explore the city interactively and grow together as a team. Saarlouis once again proved to be an ideal location for team building events, and we are already looking forward to the next adventure in this charming city!
