Geocaching in Oldenburg: An event concept that perfectly combines adventure, fun, and team building in Oldenburg. On September 4, 2026, I had the opportunity to lead a Geocaching event for the company Kattau + Partner mbB Steuerberater as a CityHunters team guide. The event kicked off at a central location, Zur Brückenwirtin, where the 30 participants were divided into five teams.
Equipped with tablets, the teams set out independently to discover the hidden treasures of the city. Oldenburg, with its charming atmosphere and numerous attractions like the Oldenburg Castle and the Lambertikirche, provided the perfect backdrop for this exciting adventure. The participants immersed themselves in the fascinating world of Geocaching and experienced the city from a completely new perspective.
During the three-hour tour, the teams engaged in friendly competition to earn the most points by solving puzzles and completing team tasks. Each participant contributed their individual strengths to the team's success, which greatly enhanced the team building experience in Oldenburg. I was always available by phone as a team guide to offer support in case of questions or issues.
After an exciting tour through the streets of Oldenburg, the teams gathered at Zur Brückenwirtin for the awards ceremony. Team 'Lost in the' claimed victory with an impressive 375 points and received medals as recognition. Team 'The Eveniors' followed closely with 360 points, and 'Kattau worries' secured third place with 330 points.
This Geocaching event in Oldenburg was not only a successful blend of fun and challenge but also an excellent opportunity to strengthen team dynamics and bring participants closer together. The city of Oldenburg, with its historic buildings and green parks, offered the ideal setting for an unforgettable team building experience.
