Team Building Event AWO Kita "Elstertalspatzen"
The event concept combines Geocaching, puzzle fun and collaborative problem solving into an active experience that builds team spirit.
As a CityHunters team guide, I welcomed the 13 participants from AWO Kita Elstertalspatzen at the Metropol Gera Kino on Leipziger Straße at 12:30 p.m. on 30 October 2025. After a brief introduction and dividing into three teams, everyone received the key information and instructions for using our app, and then the tour through Gera began.
The route led the teams past well-known spots in the city, from a view of the Otto Dix House to interesting stops around the Gera City Museum and St. Salvator Church. It is precisely this mix of sightseeing and tasks that makes our team building experience in Gera so special: you rediscover places while solving puzzles and coordinating with your teammates.
During the roughly two-hour tour the teams were on their own and competed in a friendly rivalry for the most points. Points were awarded for correctly solving puzzles, creative team tasks and clever on-site combinations. I remained reachable by phone to give brief assistance with technical questions or uncertainties.
The weather cooperated and helped create a great atmosphere — perfect conditions for a real team building experience in Gera. It quickly became clear how the shared tasks strengthened communication and, incidentally, fostered trust and cohesion.
After exactly two hours all teams met again at the Metropol Gera Kino for the awards ceremony. The tension was high, and finally the winning team was decided: FescheFrösche secured first place with 0 points.
As a guide, it was a lovely experience to see how a group of individuals becomes a well-coordinated team. Whether for daycare, company or club: Geocaching offers a lively team building experience in Gera that is fun, brings people together and stays memorable.
