Team Building Event SOCOTEC Ingenieure AG
The event concept combines Geocaching, puzzle fun and shared discovery into an active experience perfect for a team building experience in Hoyerswerda.
As a CityHunters team guide I welcomed the 14 participants from SOCOTEC Ingenieure AG at the marketplace on 27.10.2025 at 11:00. After a brief briefing we split the group into three teams and I briefly explained the schedule and the technology: tablets with the CityHunters app were handed out so all tasks and clues could be followed digitally.
Then the tour through Hoyerswerda began. Participants set off, explored the town center and along the way experienced much of what a team building experience in Hoyerswerda is about: joint problem solving, communication and good spirits. Along the route we had stops near well-known places such as Hoyerswerda Castle, St. John’s Church and the Hoyerswerda Zoo – little anecdotes and tricky tasks made the stops especially lively.
During the tour the teams worked independently and competed in a friendly contest for the highest score. Points were earned by solving puzzles correctly and by completing collaborative team tasks. I was available by phone in case questions or technical problems arose – a quick call was enough and the groups could soon concentrate fully on the game again.
The weather showed its wild side, but that actually added to the atmosphere: rain showers and fresh air made the challenge come alive and strengthened the bond between participants. Even a wet stretch became a shared experience – real team building experience in Hoyerswerda.
After 2.5 hours all teams met back at the marketplace for the awards ceremony. I was delighted to announce the winning team: Team Rondo took first place with 315 points, followed by Eichhörnchen with 285 points and Kabeltrasse with 225 points. The top three received medals in recognition of their effort and team spirit.
The day showed that Geocaching combines fun, discovery and collaboration – an ideal form of team building experience in Hoyerswerda. I am already looking forward to the next adventure in this lively town.
