Team Building Event KVM+GA
Our event concept blends modern technology with playful competition while strengthening team bonds – exactly what our iPad Tour in Chemnitz offers.
On September 22, 2025 at 1:00 PM I had the pleasure of welcoming 57 participants from the company KVM+GA at the Fabrik on Zwickauer Straße as a CityHunters team guide. After a brief introduction to the iPads and the CityHunters app, the participants were split into eight teams. Each team received an iPad as the hub for the high-tech Scavenger Hunt and off they went: pure team building experience in Chemnitz.
The tour led the groups through downtown Chemnitz past landmarks such as the Karl-Marx-Monument, the State Museum of Archaeology Chemnitz and the Red Tower. At numerous stations tricky puzzles and creative team challenges awaited, earning points. The app connected all teams in real time, displayed the scores and enabled motivating live interaction – a perfect mix of history, culture and modern technology.
The weather showed its wild side, but instead of slowing things down the light drizzle added to the team spirit: rain capes, shared laughs under umbrellas and a warm drink after the tour strengthened the sense of community. Moments like these make our team building experience in Chemnitz special – challenges are tackled together and become lasting memories.
During the tour the teams were largely on their own, competing in a friendly race for the highest score. I was reachable by phone if support was needed – a few times a quick hint was requested, then full concentration returned to the tasks.
After 1.5 hours all groups met again for the joint award ceremony at the Fabrik on Zwickauer Straße. The winning team was Black Pearl with 315 points. Congratulations. In second place came Grünetalenteschmiede with 300 points, closely followed by Red point, also with 300 points. Happy faces, enthusiastic applause and lots of joy over shared experiences rounded off the event.
Days like this show how effective a team building experience in Chemnitz can be: fun, collaboration and new impressions of the city create lasting connections within the team. I look forward to the next tours through Chemnitz and more unforgettable team experiences.
