Team Building Event Henkel AG & KGaA
As a CityHunters team guide I led a lively Geocaching experience on September 17, 2025 for eight colleagues from Henkel AG & KGaA in Düsseldorf. We met at Grabbeplatz, where I welcomed the group at 3:00 PM and gave a brief overview of the plan. After dividing into two teams everyone received the necessary instructions and a device with the CityHunters app so the exciting city tour could begin.
Motivation was high: a team building experience in Düsseldorf was the main aim. Our route took the teams through the charming city centre past landmarks such as the Museum Kunstpalast, the Rheinturm and the Königsallee. The app’s coordinates led them to notable sights and small hidden spots — the perfect backdrop for tricky puzzles and creative team challenges.
During the tour the teams were on their own, competing in friendly rivalry. Points were awarded for correctly solved puzzles and successfully completed team tasks. I was reachable by phone at all times in case of questions or technical issues and stepped in briefly when needed to keep the flow of the game.
The weather was pleasant — fresh, clear and just right for exploring the city with energy. Everywhere you could feel how solving puzzles together and shared laughter boosted collaboration — real team building experience in Düsseldorf in action. Small successes were celebrated, solutions debated and team strengths became visible.
After exactly three hours everyone met back at Grabbeplatz for the awards ceremony. The neck-and-neck race ended narrowly: the winners were the team Team Germany with 315 points, followed by Swifties with 300 points. The winning team received well-deserved medals and plenty of applause — a great finale to an intense team building event.
This Geocaching event once again showed how a team building experience in Düsseldorf brings people together: it combines fun, adventure and collaboration and makes the city come alive in a new way.
