Team Building Event Stadtwerke Leipzig GmbH
Erfurt enchants with its medieval charm and a wealth of sights — the perfect setting for an energetic adventure. On September 3, 2025, at 2:00 PM I had the pleasure of joining as a CityHunters team guide for a Geocaching event with 18 colleagues from Stadtwerke Leipzig GmbH.
The meeting point was Kreuzgasse, where I welcomed the group, gave a brief rundown of the schedule and explained the rules. As with our events, the teams received tablets with the CityHunters app preinstalled; I demonstrated how navigation and the tasks work and remained reachable by phone for questions. The participants were then split into four teams and set off full of energy — a hands-on team building experience in Erfurt.
The route led the groups across the city to landmarks such as Erfurt Cathedral, the Krämerbrücke and the Augustinian Monastery. At each station there were puzzles, creative team tasks and small challenges that put observation, communication and inventiveness to the test. Points were awarded for correctly solved tasks and clever teamwork, which kept things exciting and encouraged collaboration. During the tour the teams had to rely on themselves, which promoted initiative and strengthened team spirit — exactly what a good team building experience in Erfurt is all about.
After roughly two and a half hours everyone met back at Kreuzgasse for the award ceremony. The weather cooperated and the atmosphere was both jubilant and proud. On the podium stood the winning team Die 1igartigen with 285 points, followed by Schnattchen & Pitti with 270 points and 4Girls in third with 210 points. Applause, laughter and group photos rounded off the finish.
Experiences like this show how well city exploration and team building can be combined. Geocaching in Erfurt means having fun, finding solutions together and rediscovering the city. I am already looking forward to the next event and to leading more teams through a team building experience in Erfurt.
