Team Building Event Roche Diagnostics GmbH

Mainz showed its best side that morning – lively, steeped in history and full of exciting corners waiting to be discovered.

As a CityHunters team guide I welcomed 105 enthusiastic colleagues from Roche Diagnostics GmbH at the Rhein-Main Youth Hostel on September 3, 2025 at 8:45 a.m. After a short, clear briefing and handing out our tablets with the preinstalled CityHunters app, participants were divided into eight teams and ready to set off on an action-packed Geocaching adventure through Mainz.

The tour took the groups across the city center: stops around Mainz Cathedral, the Electoral Palace and the Drususstein prompted plenty of awe and conversation. A team building experience in Mainz showed its strengths here, combining sightseeing with tricky puzzles and creative team challenges. The teams worked independently, solved riddles, laughed and hurried on to the next task while I stayed available by phone for any technical questions or clarifications.

Each team earned points by solving puzzles correctly and completing tasks in the team competition. The mix of competition and shared enjoyment of the challenges encouraged quick coordination, creative solutions and lots of positive energy. Experiencing the city together highlighted how effective a team building experience in Mainz can be – colleagues got to know one another in new ways, explored historic sites and created lasting memories.

After exactly three hours all teams met back at the youth hostel for the awards ceremony. In brilliant weather the winning team Pink was celebrated with 360 points. Red finished second with 345 points and White third with 330 points. The awards were a cheerful end to an intense morning in which fair play and team spirit were clearly front and center.

For me it was a confirmation once again: Geocaching combines the joy of discovery with an effective team building experience in Mainz. The city, its sights and the shared challenge will surely remain in the participants minds for a long time.
