Old Town is showing its best side: lively, historic and full of surprises — the perfect place for an exciting team building experience.
As the team guide I had the pleasure of leading an iPad Murder Mystery Tour on 02.09.2025 at 14:00 for 14 employees of Lufthansa Industry Solutions AS GmbH. We met at the rear of the main church St. Petri, where I warmly welcomed the group and gave a brief introduction to the game. After a quick briefing I divided the participants into three teams: Team Winners, Scotland Yard and Crimegroup 2. Then the hunt through the city began — past landmarks such as the Elbphilharmonie, the Speicherstadt and the imposing sight of St. Michaelis Church.
The teams were on their own during the tour and competed against each other in friendly rivalry. Equipped with iPads they solved puzzles, completed team tasks and collected points. The challenges demanded creativity, communication and quick decisions — ideal ingredients for an effective team building experience in Old Town. I remained reachable by phone throughout the game in case questions came up or a little help was needed.
The weather treated us to pleasant sunshine, and the mood was relaxed and motivated. After about three hours all teams returned to the rear of the main church St. Petri for the joint awards ceremony. There was tension in the air, as the scores were close. In the end Team Winners claimed victory with 330 points. In second place came Scotland Yard with 330 points, closely followed by Crimegroup 2 with 330 points. The top three teams each received well-deserved medals — a celebratory end to an intense afternoon.
Events like this show how much solving puzzles together brings people closer: team building experience in Old Town is playful, effective and great fun. I am glad to have been part of this event and to have accompanied the colleagues on their discovery tour through Old Town.
