Team Building Event Mannheim Business School gGmbH
The perfect late-summer weather accompanied us on 31 August 2025 at 3:00 PM during our CityHunters Geocaching with Mannheim Business School gGmbH in Old Town. 32 enthusiastic participants met me as team guide at Odeonsplatz – an ideal starting point to explore the city center and make the most of our day together.
After a brief introduction and being split into five teams, each group received a tablet with the CityHunters app already installed. I explained the format and rules, then we set off: our route led the teams past landmarks such as the Frauenkirche, the New Town Hall and the Deutsches Museum, with room for surprising corners and little insider tips. This is how our offering combines sightseeing and team building experience in Old Town in a playful way.
The teams were on their own during the tour, competing in friendly rivalry for the most points. Points were awarded for correctly solving puzzles as well as for creative team tasks that demanded communication, problem-solving skills and team spirit. I remained available by phone throughout the tour in case any questions or technical issues came up.
After three hours we met again at Odeonsplatz for the awards ceremony. Excitement filled the air as the results were announced: the winner was team Team Sonic with 330 points, followed by Dora The Explorer with 225 points and #Aperolforlife in third place with 180 points. Moments like these show once again that team building experience in Old Town creates memories, brings colleagues together and leads to genuine aha moments.
As a guide it was wonderful to see how people bonded during Geocaching – between historic sites like the Residenz and the Theatinerkirche, while tackling puzzles and small challenges. This experience is a perfect mix of urban exploration, fun and sustainable team building experience in Old Town. I look forward to the next groups and more unforgettable team building events in this great city.
