Team Building Event Lohmann GmbH & Co. KG
Seven colleagues from Lohmann GmbH & Co. KG met on 12 August 2025 at 3:00 pm for an exciting Geocaching event, and I had the pleasure of accompanying them as the CityHunters team guide.
We met on St. Pius Street in Bad Neuenahr-Ahrweiler, where I welcomed the group warmly. After a short introduction we split the seven participants into two teams. As with our events, everyone received a tablet with the CityHunters app preinstalled; I explained the schedule and how to use the app, gave tips on the rules, and remained reachable by phone throughout the tour in case any questions came up.
Then the real adventure began: pure team building experience in Bad Neuenahr-Ahrweiler. The teams explored the town center on their own, followed coordinates, cracked puzzles, and completed creative team tasks. Points were awarded for correct answers and successful teamwork — whoever scored the most points in the end came out on top. With lovely weather, exploring the town was especially enjoyable.
The route took the groups to some of Bad Neuenahr-Ahrweiler’s most charming sights. At spots like St. Laurentius, sections of Ahrweiler’s city walls, and near Lantershofen Castle there were small challenges that tested observation skills and team spirit. Sightseeing was playfully combined with puzzle fun — an ideal combination for an effective team building experience in Bad Neuenahr-Ahrweiler.
After exactly three hours all teams returned to St. Pius Street, where the excitement was tangible during the award ceremony. The winning team received well-deserved medals and lots of applause from their colleagues. The atmosphere was full of good spirits, collaboration, and many anecdotes from the tour.
As team guide, I was delighted by how engaged everyone was. This Geocaching format wonderfully demonstrates how a team building experience in Bad Neuenahr-Ahrweiler can succeed: active, communicative, and full of discoveries. A thoroughly successful afternoon that will be remembered for a long time.
