Team Building Event Awo Kita Schalthaus Beisen
As a CityHunters team guide I had the pleasure of leading a special event on July 25, 2025: 22 colleagues from Awo Kita Schalthaus Beisen met at 11:30 at the Wasserbahnhof, Alte Schleuse, for an exciting Geocaching experience. After a short welcome and a run-through of the plan, participants were split into four teams and set off full of energy and anticipation for an active day of discovery.
Using the CityHunters app as their guide, the teams explored the city center of Mülheim an der Ruhr on their own. The tasks ranged from tricky puzzles to creative team challenges where points could be earned. Every step brought new insights into the city while at the same time strengthening collaboration and communication within the teams — a real team building experience in Mülheim an der Ruhr that everyone enjoyed.
During the tour I was reachable by phone in case anyone needed support. The teams worked independently, solved problems together and searched for the best ways to collect points. The friendly competition added an extra boost of motivation and good spirits to the day.
Along the way we encountered charming corners and familiar sights of Mülheim an der Ruhr — for example Schloss Broich, the Museum of the Prehistory of Film and the Ringlokschuppen Mülheim. These stops gave the game a cultural touch and turned the team building experience in Mülheim an der Ruhr into a varied discovery tour.
After three hours all teams met again at the Wasserbahnhof for a joint award ceremony. The winning team Team Orange took first place with an impressive 300 points. In second place was the team Blau & schlau with 195 points. The teams finishing in the top three received well-deserved medals and enthusiastic applause. The weather was perfect and added to the cheerful atmosphere.
In conclusion: a thoroughly successful day full of team spirit, laughter and memorable moments.
