Team Building Event Senatsverwaltung Inneres und Sport
Mitte is a city full of stories — the perfect place for investigations, team spirit and a sense of discovery.
As a CityHunters team guide I had the pleasure of accompanying a Murder Mystery Geocaching for the Senate Department for the Interior and Sport on July 15, 2025. At 10:00 a.m. 85 participants met at Bebelplatz, where I welcomed them and gave a brief introduction to the rules. The group was split into 13 teams and received the necessary clues along with the app-based tasks that would guide their exploration of the city.
Our concept combines excitement and modern technology: tablets led the teams to various locations where tricky puzzles and team tasks awaited. Along their route the teams passed well-known sites such as Humboldt University of Berlin, Museum Island and the Berlin Cathedral, experiencing a varied team building experience in Mitte that challenged thinking, communication and cooperation alike.
During the nearly two-hour tour the teams were on their own and competed in a friendly race for the most points. Points were awarded for correctly solving cases, for creative team solutions and for successfully completing small challenges. I was of course reachable by phone to assist with questions or technical issues, so the groups stayed engaged and able to continue.
After two hours everyone gathered back at Bebelplatz for the awards ceremony. The atmosphere was jubilant and the sun was shining — perfect weather for a day like this in Mitte. The winning team 7 prevailed with 240 points and proudly received their medals. Team 1 took second place with 180 points, followed by Team 3 with 165 points.
Events like this once again show how valuable a team building experience in Mitte can be: fun, shared successes and new perspectives on the city.
As a team guide I am happy when colleagues leave feeling stronger and with many positive memories — and hoping to go back on the trail together again soon.
