Team Building Event ING DiBa AG
As a CityHunters team guide, I had the pleasure of leading a lively Geocaching event on July 10, 2025 at 4:00 p.m. for 11 employees of ING DiBa AG in Bamberg. The meeting point was the tourist information office, where I welcomed the group, gave a brief introduction and divided the colleagues into four teams. Excitement was clearly in the air: perfect for a genuine team building experience in Bamberg.
After the briefing, each team received a tablet with our CityHunters app and set off for the competition. The route wound through Bamberg's beautiful old town, passing landmarks such as Bamberg Cathedral, the Old Town Hall and the Benedictine monastery on Michelsberg. The challenges mixed puzzles, short team tasks and observation assignments — all aimed at fostering cooperation and communication. This active format is a fantastic team building experience in Bamberg: playful, challenging and bonding.
During the tour the groups were on their own and competed against each other in a friendly rivalry. I was available by phone for any questions so no one was left stranded. The weather cooperated and added to the great atmosphere — perfect conditions for an outdoor adventure and a true team building experience in Bamberg.
After three hours all teams reconvened at the tourist information for the debrief and awards ceremony. There was a buzz of anticipation: who had scored the most points? I was delighted to announce the results. Winners were Die drei Musketiere with 360 points, followed by Phönix schlenkela with 330 points. In third place came Bamberger Warrios with 210 points. Applause, photos and lots of smiling faces rounded off the finale.
Experiences like this show how much collaborative problem solving can bring people together. The mix of city discovery, playfulness and team challenges makes Geocaching an ideal way to bring colleagues closer. Anyone who wants to rediscover Bamberg while boosting team spirit will find a lasting, joyful experience with CityHunters.
