Team Building Event S.E.A. Vertrieb & Consulting GmbH
Geocaching combines play, discovery and team spirit — I had the pleasure of guiding such an event as a CityHunters team guide on 26 June 2025 in Emsbüren for the colleagues from S.E.A. Vertrieb & Consulting GmbH.
The 26 participants met at the meeting point Zum Sunderhügel, where I gave a brief introduction to the rules, handed out tablets with the CityHunters app and divided everyone into four teams. After the starting signal the groups set off and explored the town independently, competing for the highest score.
The route featured a variety of puzzles and creative team tasks that could only be solved together. The tour took us past interesting spots: St. Andreas Church, the charming town center with its historic corners and some green stretches along the Ems. That encouraged interaction and produced many shared aha moments — exactly what the team building experience in Emsbüren is all about.
During the tour the teams were on their own, though I was reachable by phone in case of questions or technical issues. The atmosphere stayed cheerful and motivated; the weather cooperated and helped create a positive mood.
After about 2.5 hours we met back at the starting point for the award ceremony. Exciting until the end: the team Black Beauty took first place with 255 points. In second place Bitte nicht letzter also scored 255 points, closely followed by Würstchen with 210 points. The winners received medals and there was lots of applause and good spirits.
This Geocaching event was a real highlight for the team building experience in Emsbüren: fun, competition and shared successes were at the forefront. As a guide it is always nice to see how quickly teams grow together when they find solutions as a group and rediscover the town.
