Team Building Event Siemens Energy Austria GmbH
As a team guide for CityHunters, I had the pleasure of leading an exciting Geocaching event for the employees of Siemens Energy Austria GmbH in Weiz on May 13, 2025. Forty-six participants met at the agreed starting point, Gasthof Der Ederer, where I welcomed them warmly and gave a brief overview of the schedule. The mood was eager and curious — exactly the right foundation for an active team building experience in Weiz.
After dividing into four teams, each group received the clues and digital tools they needed, and the scavenger hunt began. Our route took the teams through Weizs lively town center and past sights like Taborkirche Weiz, Radmannsdorf Castle and the Weberhaus Weiz. The mix of navigation, puzzles and creative team tasks made it clear that Geocaching blends discovery with cooperation — a real team building experience in Weiz.
During the roughly two-hour tour the teams worked independently and competed in friendly rivalry. Points were awarded for correctly solved puzzles, successful team tasks and clever approaches. I was reachable by phone throughout to assist with questions or minor setbacks — offering safety and support without interrupting the teams as they found their own solutions.
The weather cooperated, and the participants clearly enjoyed the challenges and the many discoveries around Weiz. Laughter, focused faces and occasional cheers when a solution was found shaped the tour. The variety of tasks called on different strengths and encouraged collaboration — exactly what matters in a successful team building event.
After two hours everyone gathered again at Der Ederer for the awards ceremony. The winning team Voldemorde secured first place with 330 points. Following them were Team 3 and Team Number One, both with 300 points — an exciting result that earned enthusiastic applause. The closing atmosphere was upbeat and satisfied.
This Geocaching event demonstrated once again how lively and varied a team building experience in Weiz can be. Whether historic sites, narrow lanes or a culinary break afterward, Weiz provides ideal conditions for lasting team experiences. I am already looking forward to the next adventure in this charming town.
