Team Building Event 1&1
Our event concept combines Geocaching, team spirit and city exploration into an exciting challenge — exactly what a team building experience in Karlsruhe makes so vibrant.
On May 8, 2025 at 1:30 pm I met 24 participants from the company 1&1 at Tiergartenweg as a CityHunters team guide. After a short welcome and introduction the groups were formed: six teams set off with tablets and the preinstalled CityHunters app, and I explained the schedule, tasks and app features so everyone could get started well prepared.
The tour carried the teams across Karlsruhe, past landmarks such as Karlsruhe Palace, the Zoological City Garden and the State Art Gallery Karlsruhe. The groups worked independently, figured out puzzles, completed team challenges and searched for hidden clues — all competing for the highest score. Points were awarded for correctly solved tasks, creative solutions and clever teamwork; I was reachable by phone throughout the tour in case anyone needed assistance.
The mix of discovery and competition made clear how effective a team building experience in Karlsruhe can be: bonds were strengthened, communication shortened and the mood visibly improved through many moments of success. The atmosphere of the city and its cultural highlights gave the game extra appeal and produced many aha moments.
After exactly three hours all teams met again at Tiergartenweg for the joint awards ceremony. The tension was high: in first place was the team Champions with 345 points, followed by Fünf Freunde with 330 points and Die 4 Musketiere with 285 points. The winners received medals, and in perfect weather the afternoon ended with many smiling faces.
