Holzkirchen blends Bavarian tradition with a charming town center that is perfect for adventures and exploring together.
As a CityHunters team guide I welcomed a lively group of 20 participants at the market square on March 19, 2025 at 4:15 p.m. After a short introduction and splitting into four teams, the groups received their tasks and the necessary equipment for the Geocaching, including a brief rundown of how the tour would proceed. This is how our hands-on team building experience in Holzkirchen began.
On the tour through Holzkirchen the teams were mostly on their own and competed against one another in friendly rivalry. Points were awarded for correctly solving puzzles and successfully completing team tasks. The clues led us to notable sights: past St. Laurentius Church, down narrow lanes, to St. Josef and to one of the city's historic landmark sites. That mix of puzzles, navigation and discovery made the team building experience in Holzkirchen particularly varied.
I was reachable by phone throughout the tour in case teams needed support — usually a brief hint was enough, as competitive spirit and creativity were high. The weather cooperated, the conditions were ideal and that noticeably boosted the mood.
After two and a half hours all teams met again at the market square for the awards ceremony. The tension was palpable as the points were tallied: overall winners were team Injectibles with 420 points, followed by Best stars with 405 points and Best Quality with 390 points. The teams in first to third place received medals in recognition of their performance and team spirit.
Experiences like this show that a team building experience in Holzkirchen combines fun, competition and shared moments of success — leaving lasting impressions. I am already looking forward to the next time we rediscover the town together.
