Team Building Event Deutsche Post AG
The weather was perfect – clear skies and great spirits accompanied our iPad Tour through Chemnitz.
As the CityHunters team guide, I welcomed the 40 participants from Deutsche Post AG at the meeting point outside the Congress Hotel Chemnitz on Brückenstraße. After a brief introduction to the iPads and the CityHunters App, colleagues were split into seven teams. Each team received an iPad as the central hub for navigation, tasks and the live scoreboard – and so our interactive adventure began.
The route took the groups across the city: from the impressive Karl Marx Monument to the modern Gunzenhauser Museum and the historic Red Tower – Chemnitz showed itself at its best. Along the way there were varied puzzles and creative team challenges that tested observation, communication and ingenuity. The CityHunters App linked all teams in real time, displayed scores and provided an encouraging live chat – real team building experience in Chemnitz that is fun and brings people together.
During the tour the teams were mostly on their own and engaged in good-natured competition for the most points. Points were earned by correctly solving tasks and succeeding in team challenges. I was reachable by phone throughout the tour and available to help with any questions – one quick call was enough and I cleared up any uncertainties.
After exactly two hours everyone met back at the Congress Hotel Chemnitz on Brückenstraße for the awards ceremony. The tension was high as the final standings were announced: first place went to team Super Hunters with 215 points. Behind them came #superhirne and Punkthunter with 205 points each – a close and very fair result to an exciting competition.
This event was a perfect example of how a team building experience in Chemnitz can work both physically and communicatively. Participants got to know each other better, laughed a lot and discovered the city anew.
