Team Building Event ITEX Gaebler GmbH & Co. KG
Our event concept combines modern technology with playful competition to create a lasting team experience: an iPad Tour that brings together city exploration, puzzle fun and team building experience in Bonn.
As a CityHunters team guide I had the pleasure of welcoming the group from ITEX Gaebler GmbH & Co. KG at the Dorint Hotel Bonn, Berliner Freiheit, on January 25, 2025 at 9:00 AM. After a brief introduction to the iPads and the CityHunters App, the 217 participants were split into 32 teams. Each team received an iPad as their hub — that kicked off the high‑tech Scavenger Hunt across Bonn.
The tour took teams to well‑known spots like the Beethoven House, Bonn Minster and Poppelsdorf Palace, where interactive challenges and creative tasks awaited at various stations. The CityHunters App connected all teams in real time, displayed scores and offered a motivating live chat — perfect ingredients for a successful team building experience in Bonn.
Over the three hours teams were left to their own devices, puzzling, researching and coordinating with one another to collect as many points as possible. I remained reachable by phone throughout the tour to answer questions or clarify small uncertainties. The weather cooperated, which only boosted the groups’ high spirits and momentum.
At the end everyone met again at the Dorint Hotel for the awards ceremony. The scoring from solved puzzles and team tasks kept the result exciting until the last minute: the winner was Team 28 with 240 points, closely followed by Team 24, also with 240 points. Third place went to Team 29 with 235 points. Moments like these show how much fun collaborative puzzling and competitive drive can create.
This event was once again a great example of a team building experience in Bonn: encounters, shared successes and many aha moments in a city that beautifully blends culture and team spirit. I look forward to more tours and to introducing more groups to Bonn in this interactive way.
