Team Building Event Innotaste GmbH
As a CityHunters team guide I welcomed a motivated group of 16 colleagues from Innotaste GmbH on November 24, 2024 at 10:00 AM. We met at Sandtorkai by the PIERDREI Hotel HafenCity — a perfect starting point for our shared adventure. After a short introduction I divided the group into three teams and explained the schedule and rules. Each person received a tablet with the CityHunters app, and off we went: real Geocaching action and a true team building experience in Old Town.
The atmosphere was great from the very beginning. In good weather the teams set off on their own, always in competition mode to collect the most points. Points were awarded for correctly solving puzzles and for creative team tasks. I remained reachable by phone throughout the tour in case questions or small obstacles came up, but most of the time team spirit and good communication were enough.
Our route took the teams through fascinating corners of the city. Between the Elbphilharmonie, the Speicherstadt and the Chilehaus they completed search tasks, uncovered little secrets and discovered surprising details about Old Town. That's what makes our Geocaching format so valuable: urban exploration meets challenge, creating a genuine team building experience in Old Town that resonates long after.
The three teams — Explorer, PierOne and Rasch — had a close, fair contest. After two intense hours everyone returned to the starting point for the awards ceremony. There was great joy when the winning team Explorer was crowned with 210 points. In second place was PierOne with 150 points, closely followed by Rasch with also 150 points. Applause, laughter and group photos rounded off the finale.
Experiences like this show how effective a team building experience in Old Town can be: collaborative problem-solving, strategic action and togetherness in one of Germany's most beautiful cities. Anyone wanting to rediscover Old Town — whether at the Landungsbrücken, in the Speicherstadt or in front of the Elbphilharmonie — will find in our Geocaching format exactly the right mix of fun, adventure and team development.
