Team Building Event Kita Sonnenschein
The CityHunters Murder Mystery Geocaching combines city exploration, puzzle-solving and teamwork into an exciting team building event.
As the team guide, I had the pleasure of welcoming the group from Kita Sonnenschein in Leipzig on November 15, 2024 at 12:00 PM. Eighteen participants met me at Thomaskirchhof, received a brief introduction and were split into three teams. Armed with tablets and our custom app, the digital manhunt led the teams to various crime scenes and landmarks across the city – from the Thomaskirche and the Gewandhaus to the University of Leipzig, familiar places became the stages for mysterious cases.
The concept relies on active participation: the teams were largely on their own during the tour and competed against each other in a friendly rivalry. Points were awarded for correctly solved puzzles and joint team tasks. Technology met adventure – the tablet was the central tool, showing clues, assigning challenges and guiding the route. I remained available by phone throughout the tour in case any questions or technical issues arose.
The weather cooperated and set a cheerful tone, allowing the investigations to take place in a sunny atmosphere. Positive energy was noticeable everywhere: the teams laughed, puzzled things out and supported one another – exactly what makes our team building experience in Leipzig so effective and engaging. For us, team building in Leipzig is not just about competition but about shared experiences and discovering hidden strengths.
After exactly three hours, all teams returned to Thomaskirchhof and we held a joint award ceremony. First place went to team Catwomen with 240 points – closely followed by team Alpaka, also with 240 points. Third place was Mausebäckchen with 135 points. The tight scoring showed how exciting and evenly matched the afternoon was.
This Murder Mystery Geocaching event was once again a great example of how much fun and value a well-organized team building experience in Leipzig can deliver. I’m already looking forward to the next time we solve new puzzles together and get to know Leipzig from a whole new perspective.
