Budapest enchants with its striking architecture, lively Danube promenade and charming side streets – the perfect setting for an active company event.
On October 26, 2024 at 10:00 AM I had the pleasure, as a CityHunters team guide, of welcoming 32 colleagues from ECA Huber & Partner Steuerberatungs GmbH & Co KG at the Danubius Fountain. After a brief introduction to the iPads and the CityHunters app, participants were split into five teams and the adventure began.
Our iPad Tour combined modern technology with city exploration: the teams navigated independently to landmarks such as the Parliament, Fisherman’s Bastion and the Chain Bridge, solving interactive puzzles and creative team tasks at each stop. In this way genuine team building experience in Budapest emerged naturally – with motivation, fun and a healthy dose of competition.
During the tour the groups were on their own, fighting for the highest score. Points were awarded for correctly solved puzzles and successful team tasks that tested observation, communication and ingenuity. I remained available by phone at all times in case questions or minor issues arose.
The weather cooperated, the atmosphere was upbeat, and the combination of city discovery and teamwork had an immediate effect: conversations grew deeper, colleagues got to know each other better, and laughter and creative solutions could be heard everywhere – that is what makes a team building experience in Budapest so valuable.
After roughly three hours everyone regrouped at the Danubius Fountain for the awards ceremony. Medals went to the three top teams: Gold for Golden Girls with 230 points, Silver for Backstreet Hunters with 220 points and Bronze for Pest with 220 points as well. The delight over the placements was clear and the applause was loud.
As a guide it was a real pleasure to watch an iPad event turn into a true sense of togetherness. Anyone who wants to experience a team building experience in Budapest will find a perfect mix of culture, technology and playful competition. I’m already looking forward to the next time!
