Team Building Event Learn4next

As a team guide for CityHunters I had the pleasure of leading a lively iPad Murder Mystery Tour on October 23, 2024 at 9:30 AM for the 12 participants from Learn4next in Heidenheim an der Brenz. The meeting point was Eugen-Jaeckle-Platz, where I warmly welcomed the group, split them into two teams, and the big puzzle adventure through the city began.

With tablets in hand and plenty of energy, the teams explored the historic lanes and squares of Heidenheim an der Brenz. The iPads guided them from one case to the next, showed maps and positions, and presented tricky puzzles as well as joint team tasks. Throughout the tour the teams were left to their own devices and competed in friendly rivalry, while I was available by phone in case of technical questions or other inquiries.

The route took us past some of the town's finest sights: we admired the impressive Hellenstein Castle, discovered modern highlights at the Heidenheim Art Museum and felt the special atmosphere around the Heidenheim Natural Theatre. In this way the team building experience in Heidenheim an der Brenz became an entertaining sightseeing event that naturally combined fun and collaboration.

The mood was upbeat, the weather fairly good and spirits high — ideal conditions for solving puzzles together. Points were awarded for correctly solved cases and clever team performances; thanks to the digital scoring the suspense lasted until the end. After about three hours everyone met back at Eugen-Jaeckle-Platz for the awards ceremony.

The final tally produced a close but well-deserved result: winners were team CSI BHE with 190 points, followed by team TKKG with 180 points. At the short closing ceremony everyone was delighted and had a chance to review the highlights once more.

Experiences like this show how effective a team building experience in Heidenheim an der Brenz can be: exciting, cooperative and full of discoveries. I am already looking forward to the next run and to guiding more groups through this varied city — whether along historic facades, to cultural spots or to hidden corners that make Heidenheim an der Brenz so special.
