Team Building Event Siemens Energy Global GmbH & Co. KG
The 50 participants from Siemens Energy Global GmbH & Co. KG gathered in the late afternoon full of anticipation at Klarissenplatz, and I had the pleasure of guiding them as a CityHunters team guide through an exciting Geocaching adventure.
After a brief welcome and introduction I split the group into eight teams, explained the procedure and gave each team a tablet with our app. Thus began our interactive team building experience in Nuremberg: the tasks led teams to well-known and hidden spots around the city, challenged their thinking and creativity, and invited everyone to puzzle together.
In good weather the teams set off to explore Nuremberg city centre. Stops around Nuremberg Castle, the Frauenkirche and the Albrecht Dürer House repeatedly inspired awe and teamwork. Tasks ranged from riddles and team challenges to observation assignments, with points awarded for correct answers and creative contributions.
Throughout the tour the groups were on their own and engaged in friendly competition. I remained reachable by phone in case of technical questions or small uncertainties, but I could see how the teams made decisions independently and learned from one another. That is precisely what makes our Geocaching such an effective tool for a team building experience in Nuremberg: shared thinking, coordination and taking action bring people together.
After 2.5 hours everyone met again at Klarissenplatz for the award ceremony. The announcement created a lot of suspense and then the winning team was revealed: Schäufeler took first place with 345 points. In second place was Cocoloko with 285 points, closely followed by Team 4 also with 285 points. Congratulations to all participants for their great effort!
An afternoon like this in Nuremberg shows how much enjoyment and value a well-organized team building event can offer. Whether visiting historic sights such as St. Sebald or soaking up the atmosphere of the old town, Geocaching combines experience, culture and team spirit. I am already looking forward to the next team building experience in Nuremberg and many more motivated groups.
