Team Building Event Hochschule für Musik, Theater und Medien Hannover
The weather was perfect for our evening tour through Hanover — golden light and pleasant temperatures accompanied us every step of the way.
As the CityHunters team guide, I welcomed nine participants from the University of Music, Drama and Media Hanover at Opera Square on October 17, 2024 at 5:30 PM. After a short introduction to the principles of Geocaching and how to use the app, I split the group into two teams. For me, every event is a bit of a team building experience in Hanover: fun, curiosity and solving puzzles together immediately bring people closer.
Armed with a tablet and curiosity, the teams set off through the city center on their own. Our route took them past well-known sights like the New Town Hall, the Market Church and the Leineschloss — classic stops that work wonderfully with tricky tasks and hidden clues. Geocaching in Hanover means discovering the city anew: historic spots, narrow lanes and surprising corners are waiting to be uncovered together.
The teams competed in a friendly challenge to score the most points. Points were awarded for correctly solving puzzles and successfully completing team tasks — always with the goal of strengthening cooperation. I stayed reachable by phone during the tour so I could quickly assist with questions without disrupting the flow of the game.
After 2.5 hours everyone met back at Opera Square for the award ceremony. The atmosphere was lively as we announced the results: first place went to team Eichhörnchen with an impressive 270 points, followed by the Kittyhunters with 150 points. A nice moment that once again emphasized the spirit of team building experience in Hanover — arriving together, celebrating and winding down.
Events like this repeatedly show how much potential lies in playful competition and shared creativity.
