Team Building Event Schneider Electric GmbH
As a CityHunters team guide, I had the pleasure on October 16, 2024 at 5:00 PM of leading a lively Geocaching event for 11 employees of Schneider Electric in Ratingen. We met at Ristorante San Marco on Wallstraße, from where we set off together. The mood was expectant and the weather cooperative — ideal for an active team building experience in Ratingen.
After a brief introduction, each team received a tablet with our CityHunters app and all the necessary information. The participants were split into three teams and set off through the city on their own. In our Geocaching in Ratingen, teamwork is at the forefront: cracking puzzles, tackling creative tasks and hunting down clues together — a playful way to strengthen cooperation and cohesion.
The route led the groups to several of Ratingen’s sights. At stops like the Cromford textile factory, Poensgenpark and Haus zum Haus the teams could not only collect points but also learn more about the city. Every solved puzzle and completed team task earned points and produced plenty of aha moments and laughter along the way.
I was available by phone throughout the tour in case of questions or technical issues. The teams operated independently but were engaged in a friendly competition for the highest score. After exactly two hours everyone returned to Ristorante San Marco for the award ceremony — a lovely finale to our team building experience in Ratingen.
The podium was fiercely contested: Lissy's team took first place with 240 points, followed by Fantastic Four, also with 240 points. In third place was Team Hunters with 150 points. For everyone, however, the joy over the successes, the exuberant atmosphere and the shared experience were what mattered most.
Geocaching in Ratingen is a wonderful way to rediscover the city while strengthening team spirit.
I am happy that our event gave the colleagues from Schneider Electric an intense, cheerful team building experience — I would gladly do it again at the next team building experience in Ratingen!
