Team Building Event Richter Pharma Betriebsrat
The event concept blends digital clue-hunting with city exploration, playfully promoting teamwork and creativity — an iPad Murder Mystery that turns participants into detectives while bringing a team building experience in Graz to life.
On 12 October 2024 at 1:30 pm I met the 37 participants from the Richter Pharma works council as the CityHunters team guide at Gösser Bräu on Neutorgasse in Graz. After a brief welcome and a quick tutorial on how to use the iPads, we split the group into six teams. The mood was expectant: everyone was eager for the mix of puzzles, investigative work, and exploring familiar corners of the city.
The tour took the teams to exciting spots in Graz — past Graz Cathedral, up to the Schlossberg, and by the modern Kunsthaus Graz. The iPads, with an integrated map mode, displayed the next mission points; as soon as a team came close, clues and tasks appeared. A team building experience in Graz here works through joint analysis, coordination, and debating why things made sense, which is exactly what made our day so lively.
During the three hours the teams were on their own and competed in a friendly contest for the most points. Points were awarded for correctly solving puzzles and for creative team tasks. I was reachable by phone to help with technical questions or uncertainties, but otherwise I remained an observer and a fan of the many aha moments I experienced along the way.
The weather cooperated, the sun helped, and spirits were high. After exactly three hours we met again at Gösser Bräu for the awards ceremony. There was great joy: the winners were ProFies with 190 points, followed by 5 Engel für Chrilly with 180 points and Anonymus in third with 110 points.
These iPad Murder Mystery Tours show how much fun a team building experience in Graz can be: exciting puzzles, shared decisions, and seeing the city in a whole new light. I am already looking forward to the next group — maybe we will meet again at Domplatz or at the foot of the Schlossberg.
