Team Building Event Avaloq AG
Perfect weather accompanied us that morning and immediately set a great mood.
On October 3, 2024 at 9:00 AM I met the 11 participants from Avaloq AG at Zueghusplatz as the CityHunters team guide. After a brief welcome and introduction I explained the schedule, how to behave during the tour, and how to use the CityHunters app preinstalled on the tablets. We then split the group into two teams; the excitement was palpable and everyone was eager to start solving puzzles together.
Then the teams set off: pure team building experience in Zurich. Along the route they discovered landmarks such as the Grossmünster, ETH Zurich and the Kunsthaus Zurich, as well as charming corners that are often overlooked. The tasks ranged from tricky puzzles to creative team challenges, with points awarded for correct solutions. Throughout the tour the teams were on their own in friendly competition, and I was available by phone if support was needed.
The concept of our Geocaching tour combines adventure, discovery and collaboration: the tablets guided participants to coordinates, revealed clues and presented the tasks. In this way sightseeing became an active team building experience in Zurich, where everyone could play to their strengths and working together to solve challenges strengthened team spirit.
After 2.5 hours everyone met again at Zueghusplatz for the awards ceremony. It was an exciting finish: the team Chicken Dinner emerged as the winner with 300 points. In second place came RTG Warriors, also with 300 points — a very close and thrilling result. The winners received medals and we celebrated a successful day together.
This event once again showed how much joy and cohesion a well-organized team building experience in Zurich can bring. Whether for a company outing or a department event, Geocaching in Zurich is a lively, interactive way to rediscover the city while strengthening teamwork.
