Team Building Event IHK Dresden
Our iPad Tour combines city exploration, tricky puzzles and modern technology into an engaging experience – ideal for a team building experience in Dresden. As a CityHunters team guide, I had the pleasure of welcoming a group of 88 participants from IHK Dresden on 28 September 2024 at 12:30 and introducing them to this dynamic format.
The meeting point was in front of the entrance to the IHK administrative building on Langen Weg. After a short briefing on how to use the iPads and the CityHunters App, colleagues were split into 22 teams. Each team received an iPad as their central hub: navigation, tasks and scores all ran through the app, making the competition transparent and motivating.
The teams then set off on their own and explored Dresden in a new way. Passing the Frauenkirche, the Semperoper and the Zwinger, they had to use observation skills, creativity and team spirit in equal measure. At several stations interactive tasks and team challenges awaited, earning points when solved correctly. I remained reachable by phone throughout the tour in case of technical questions or requests for directions.
The weather was pleasantly autumnal and added to the good mood – the atmosphere was friendly and relaxed, ideal for a team building experience in Dresden. Many teams combined strategy with fun, and some surprised with original solutions and unexpected team dynamics.
After roughly two and a half hours everyone met back at the starting point for the awards ceremony. The tension was palpable as the top performances were announced. The laughter, the sharing of unusual observations and the collective results made it clear: this iPad Tour was a powerful team building event.
Team building experience in Dresden can be playful and long-lasting in this way – the mix of history, culture and high-tech creates lasting impressions. It was a pleasure to accompany this day for IHK Dresden and to see colleagues growing together so naturally. I look forward to the next time we explore the city together.
