Team Building Event Uniper IT GmbH
As a team guide for CityHunters, I had the pleasure on September 25, 2024 of experiencing a lively team building experience in Würzburg with 15 colleagues from Uniper IT GmbH. We met punctually at 9:00 AM at Marienplatz, formed the teams and went over the final instructions for the tour. The weather was perfect — ideal conditions for an active team day.
Split into three teams, the groups set off with tablets and our CityHunters app. The tasks combined puzzles with creative team challenges; points were awarded for correctly solved tasks and smart cooperation. During the tour the teams moved independently and competed against each other in a friendly contest. I remained reachable by phone in case help was needed.
The route led to many exciting spots in Würzburg: between the Würzburg Residence, Fortress Marienberg and the Old Main Bridge there were plenty of aha moments, lively discussions and shared laughter. These stops give the event its special touch and make a team building experience in Würzburg one that not only showcases the city but also strengthens collaboration.
What was particularly impressive was how differently the teams contributed their strengths: problem solvers cracked logic puzzles, creatives scored on design-oriented tasks, and others provided the drive needed to keep moving quickly. That is exactly what makes Geocaching with CityHunters so effective — genuine teamwork combined with playful competitiveness.
After exactly three hours everyone met back at Marienplatz for the joint award ceremony. The atmosphere was exuberant and proud: team TigerDucks secured the win with 345 points. In second place was team Fuckses with 240 points, closely followed by GhostBastards in third, also with 240 points. A great result for all involved.
This Geocaching event was a successful example of a team building experience in Würzburg: curiosity, team spirit and shared achievements — all set in the wonderful atmosphere of the city. I am already looking forward to the next adventures with new groups and more discoveries in Würzburg.
