Team Building Event Apple Technology Engineering B.V.& Co. KG
The weather was perfect — sunny and inviting, just the right mood for our Geocaching event on September 24, 2024 at 2:30 PM in Old Town. I had the pleasure of welcoming 18 colleagues from Apple Technology Engineering B.V. & Co. KG as the CityHunters team guide at Max-Joseph-Platz; from there we set off on an exciting afternoon and split the group into three teams.
After a brief introduction I explained the format and how to use the tablets we had prepared with the CityHunters app so everyone was well equipped. The teams then went off on their own, fully focused on solving puzzles, completing group challenges and discovering the most beautiful corners of the city. Our concept playfully combines experience and cooperation — an ideal team building experience in Old Town.
The stations led participants through the city center and past well-known sights such as the Frauenkirche, the New Town Hall and the Deutsches Museum. Again and again teams decoded clues, pieced hints together and collected points. Competition was in the foreground, but the fun and joint problem-solving especially strengthened the sense of togetherness. As guide I remained reachable by phone throughout the tour for any technical or team-related questions.
After about two and a half hours all teams met back at Max-Joseph-Platz for the awards ceremony. The anticipation was high when the scores were announced and the atmosphere was uniformly celebratory. It was particularly nice to see such a mix of strengths come together and how much the activity promoted camaraderie — exactly what we mean by team building experience in Old Town.
For me as team guide it was a very successful afternoon: the mix of challenging puzzles, friendly competition and exploring Old Town brought joy to everyone and visibly boosted team spirit. If you are looking for a special experience that combines fun, adventure and collaboration, Geocaching is an excellent choice for your next team building event in Old Town.
