Team Building Event Verein für Sozialmedizin e.V.
The weather was at its best, accompanying our iPad Tour with sunshine and good spirits.
On 23 September 2024 at 1:30 PM, 23 employees of Verein für Sozialmedizin e.V. met at our central meeting point on Kalkmühlenstraße in Stade — and I had the pleasure of guiding the event as a CityHunters team guide. After a warm welcome there was a brief introduction to the iPads and the CityHunters App: the rules, the controls and how the live scoring works.
The group was quickly split into four teams and the team building experience in Stade began. Each team received an iPad as their central hub, which they used to open and solve the quiz questions, photo tasks and team challenges. The tasks demanded creativity, observation and communication — perfect ingredients for a successful team building experience in Stade.
The teams explored Stade’s city centre on their own, discovered historic spots and let the city inspire them. At landmarks such as St. Cosmae et Damiani, the Schwedenspeicher Museum and St. Wilhadi Church there were exciting challenges to master. The combination of history, culture and modern technology made the tour especially varied.
During the tour we were available by phone as team guides if any team needed support. At the same time the app kept motivation high: live chats and the scoreboard kept everyone in competitive mode and added to the event’s energy.
After three hours all teams returned to the starting point for the awards ceremony. Joy was high: Gute Laune Team won with 180 points, followed by The evil beasties with 170 points and Die Gewinner with 150 points. Congratulations to the winners and a big compliment to all participants for their team spirit and enthusiasm for the game.
The iPad Tour once again showed how much fun a team building experience in Stade can be: an ideal mix of competition, discovery and shared memories.
I’m already looking forward to the next team building event in this vibrant city.
