Team Building Event LACTOLAND Trockenmilchwerk GmbH
Our event concept blends Geocaching, urban exploration and friendly competition into an action-packed afternoon — exactly what we enjoyed on 20 September 2024 with LACTOLAND Trockenmilchwerk GmbH.
As team guide I met the 34 participants at 2:30 p.m. at Karmeliterplatz in Mainz. Together we briefly went over the schedule, handed out the tablets with the preinstalled CityHunters app and split the group into seven teams. The buzz of anticipation was palpable: everyone was looking forward to an active form of team building experience in Mainz that combines the city and fun in equal measure.
During the tour the teams were on their own and competed against one another in a friendly contest. Points were awarded for correctly solving puzzles and for creative team tasks — requiring ingenuity, clear communication and a keen eye for detail. I remained reachable by phone to help with technical questions or small uncertainties.
The weather cooperated perfectly, so Mainz showed itself at its best. Between stops such as the Mainz Cathedral, the Electoral Palace and the Drususstein, the teams uncovered little stories and hidden clues — an ideal setting for a genuine team building experience in Mainz. The historical links to Mogontiacum and the atmosphere around St. Peter also provided regular aha moments.
After three hours all teams regrouped at Karmeliterplatz and the suspense rose: which group had scored the most points? At the awards ceremony the Milchbubies celebrated first place with 210 points. In second place was team sex7 with 195 points, closely followed by HOLLY with 180 points.
For me it was once again a particularly lovely example of how Geocaching in Mainz connects team building experience, the spirit of discovery and shared moments of success. The combination of movement, creative tasks and Mainz's historic charm turns events like this into lasting memories.
I am already looking forward to more groups and to guiding even more teams through their team building experience in Mainz as we rediscover the city together.
