Team Building Event Kyndryl
The weather was perfect: bright sunshine and mild air accompanied our iPad Murder Mystery Tour through Frankfurt.
As a team guide for CityHunters, I had the pleasure of welcoming twelve cheerful participants at Friedrich-Stoltze-Platz on September 20, 2024 at 10:00 AM. After a brief introduction and a compact tutorial on using the iPads, the colleagues were split into three teams and received their missions for the team building experience in Frankfurt.
The app led the teams with a map view and position indicator to the individual scenes of the crime – always with a wink, but with real puzzles: deciphering clues, interviewing witnesses, solving team challenges. Along the way the groups discovered familiar sights like Kaiserdom St. Bartholomäus, the Römer and the Alte Oper, experiencing team building in Frankfurt in a particularly entertaining way.
For the full three hours the teams were on their own, competing fairly for points. Points were awarded for correctly solved puzzles and challenges completed together. I was available by phone for technical questions or route inquiries – and every now and then a small hint helped keep the fun going.
The mix of puzzles, time pressure and exploring the city boosted communication and strengthened the group: quick strategy talks, creative solutions and cheering each other on led to many aha moments. That combination is exactly what makes our events a successful team building experience in Frankfurt – exciting, active and connecting.
After exactly three hours everyone met back at Friedrich-Stoltze-Platz for the awards ceremony. The winning team was celebrated with medals, applause and many smiling faces. Shared experiences like this stick with people and promote a lasting sense of togetherness within the company.
I’m already looking forward to the next tour through Frankfurt — new cases, new teams and plenty of fun with the mobile murder mystery adventure. The team building experience in Frankfurt was clearly a great success today!
