Bamberg charms with its historic character, winding alleys and vivid history – the perfect setting for an exciting team building experience in Bamberg.
As a CityHunters team guide, I had the pleasure on 12 September 2024 at 1:30 PM of welcoming 35 colleagues from Siemens Energy Global GmbH & Co. KG at the Tourist Information at Schloss Geyerswörth. After a short introduction we went over the CityHunters app on the tablets provided and split into seven teams. The mood was optimistic and upbeat, exactly the right foundation for a team building experience in Bamberg.
Then off they went: the teams roamed the city on their own, exploring landmarks such as Bamberg Cathedral, the Old Town Hall and the Michelsberg Benedictine Abbey while solving a variety of puzzles and creative team tasks. Points were awarded for correctly completed challenges, and the competitive spirit brought lots of energy and laughter. I remained reachable by phone throughout the tour in case any questions or small technical issues came up.
The weather was pleasant — not dramatic, but mild and ideal for discovering the streets and squares. That gentle, sunny atmosphere added to the experience and encouraged relaxed conversation and clever solutions. Time and again it became clear how shared tasks strengthen togetherness, which is exactly what a team building experience in Bamberg is meant to achieve.
After two hours all groups met again at the Tourist Information at Schloss Geyerswörth for the award ceremony. To great applause we celebrated the winning team EnergyDrinks with 195 points. Second place went to BamberXplorer with 165 points, closely followed by Schlenkerler, also with 165 points. The pleasure in the successes and the shared experience was obvious on every participant's face.
Such Geocaching tours combine adventure, learning and shared fun — an ideal way to strengthen teams and rediscover the beauty of Bamberg. I am already looking forward to the next team building experience in Bamberg and to more groups who want to experience this special city together.
