Team Building Event Gartenbau-Versicherung VVaG
The concept of our Murder Mystery Geocaching event blends city exploration, puzzle-solving and teamwork into an engaging experience.
As a team guide for CityHunters I welcomed the Gartenbau-Versicherung VVaG group in Old Town on September 11, 2024 at 3:00 pm. Twenty-four participants met at Max-Joseph-Platz, were warmly received and divided into four teams. After a short introduction the teams were given tablets with the app that guided them through the cases and tasks across the city centre – a typical team building experience in Old Town.
The tour that followed was a contest of wits and cooperation: points were awarded for correctly solved puzzles and jointly completed team tasks. The groups were on their own during the tour, with me available by phone for questions – quick support for technical or content-related issues was always possible. Despite the unsettled weather the mood stayed high; the light rain brought lively energy rather than fatigue and even boosted motivation.
The route took teams past well-known spots that revealed a playful side of Old Town: stations within sight of the Frauenkirche, impressions near the New Town Hall and clues that could be solved close to the Deutsches Museum. Encounters like these make our Murder Mystery Geocaching a great option for a team building experience in Old Town – you rediscover familiar places while working closely as a team. Team building experience in Old Town becomes tangible: collaboration, communication and the joy of shared success were at the centre.
After exactly two hours everyone met again at Max-Joseph-Platz for the awards ceremony. The tension was high as the points were announced: the winners were Die Schnappinger with 90 points, followed by Mammut with 75 points and Die Schildkröten with 60 points. It was an all-around successful event: lots of fun, genuine team dynamics and plenty of aha moments. As a guide I am always happy to see how this format brings colleagues closer together and makes Old Town feel new again.
