Team Building Event ENGIE Deutschland GmbH
As a CityHunters team guide I led a lively iPad Murder Mystery Tour on 10 September 2024 at 3:30 p.m. for 15 participants from ENGIE Deutschland GmbH in Kühlungsborn. We met at the Upstalsboom Hotel on Ostseeallee, where I warmly welcomed the group, gave a brief tech introduction and formed three teams. The mood was eager and focused — exactly the right foundation for our team building experience in Kühlungsborn.
Equipped with iPads, the three groups set off on their own to solve puzzles, find clues and complete team challenges. I was available by phone throughout the tour in case anyone needed help. The participants navigated the town independently, discovered corners and sights and exchanged ideas about their tactics — genuine team building experience in Kühlungsborn, where communication and cooperation mattered.
Our route took the teams past well known spots such as Konzertgarten West, Villa Baltic and the Kühlungsborn sea rescue station. The mix of historic facades, beach proximity and surprising tasks made the tour varied and motivating. The weather was decent and added to the good mood — a pleasant breeze that made the teamwork feel even more alive.
Over 2.5 hours points were awarded for correct solutions and creative collaboration. The excitement grew as all groups returned on time to the Upstalsboom Hotel for the awards ceremony. At the small celebration we honored each group’s efforts and especially recognized commitment and camaraderie. The winning team this time was Die Planlosen with 0 points and they received plenty of applause. That shows that a team building experience is not only about competition but above all about the shared experience.
I really enjoyed the tour with ENGIE Deutschland. Formats like this combine fun, puzzle solving and real togetherness and are a wonderful way to see colleagues in a new light.
