Team Building Event PWC
Perfect late summer weather accompanied our Murder Mystery Geocaching on September 5, 2024 — an ideal setting for discovery and team spirit in Cologne.
As the team guide I welcomed 23 PwC employees at 4:00 PM at Konrad-Adenauer-Ufer. After a short briefing we split the group into four teams. Equipped with tablets and our custom app the teams set off on the trail and experienced Cologne in a whole new way: past the Cologne Cathedral, across the Hohenzollern Bridge and by intriguing spots like Museum Ludwig the route led through the city center.
In this Murder Mystery Geocaching the emphasis was on the fun of solving puzzles together. The tasks ranged from tricky riddles to creative team challenges that required communication and cooperation. During the tour the teams were on their own and competed for the most points. I was available by phone for questions and problems, ensuring the event ran smoothly and everyone stayed motivated to continue investigating.
The mix of city exploration and investigative work makes our format a true team building experience in Cologne. Participants not only discovered well known sights from new perspectives but also strengthened the bonds within their teams. Those moments when creative ideas come together and the group solves a problem as one are exactly what make a team building experience in Cologne so valuable.
After two and a half hours all teams returned to the starting point for a joint awards ceremony. Talking about the tour highlights and sharing the little anecdotes from along the way made it clear that it was not just about points but above all about shared experiences. The winning team was Alibi Abstauber — with a surprising 0 points, which prompted plenty of laughter and perfectly rounded off the friendly competition.
I thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon: motivated participants, a lively city center and a genuine sense of team spirit. Events like this show how much energy and creativity groups can unleash — a perfect team building experience in Cologne that lingers long after.
